Jummah Prayers Resume
Alhamdulillah we had our first Jummah gathering since lockdown began in March.
We have had a great turnout and it was reassuring to see everyone respecting the rules that have been put in place and following the instructions from our volunteers. We thank everyone that attended and not forgetting those who helped with managing the event. If anyone would like to attend a Jummah prayer, please contact brother Naseer or brother Asif to check for availability. If you do not intend on attending, please do not book a space as we have a limited number of spaces.

Masjid Reopened

Alhamdulillah the Masjid has reopened today!
We have made a short video to show the extra safety precautions that we have taken in line with government guidelines. The guidelines will be reviewed on a regular basis and changes implemented as required.
We ask for your support to help protect our community and keep everyone safe.
Masjid Reopening
We are pleased to share that Ghausia Masjid will reopen on Saturday 4th July 2020 Inshallah.

This will be subject to strict measures. You will be required to bring your own prayer mat, a bag to put your shoes in and to wear a face mask and gloves whilst in the Masjid. If you do not have a mask/gloves/bag, these can be provided by the Masjid for a donation. Volunteers will be at hand at all the daily prayers to ensure everyone follows the guidelines.

Eid-Ul-Fitr 2020
Ghausia Masjid Institute can confirm the moon of Shawwal has been sighted, therefore Eid ul-Fitr will be ‪on‬ ‪Sunday 24th May 2020 InshaAllah.

Due to the current pandemic, unfortunately there will be NO EID NAMAZ in the Masjid. We have discussed multiple options with the local authorities but none of these can guarantee the safety of our congregants, whilst also meeting the requirements of social distancing.

After consulting the Ulama and Scholars according to the HANAFI school of thought, similar to the Jummah namaz which you cannot pray at home the same applies too Eid ul Fitr namaz.

We therefore suggest you read 2 or 4 rak'at of Nafl (voluntary) pray on your own or in a congregation with your family.
Please note namaz should be offered 15mins after sunrise and before Zuhr namaz.

Please pray for the Ummah from your homes and may Allah (S.W.T) accept our good deeds and forgive our shortcomings.
As a reminder please dont' forget to pay your Sadaqah Ul Fitr this Eid.
Eid Mubarak to you and your families

Ramadan In Lockdown

The message remains the same, to stay at home and to stay safe. This includes opening Iftars and performing Taraweeh prayers at home. This is a difficult time for all of us and we hope that through the blessings of Ramadan we will cope with the current difficulties.
