It has been confirmed that the new moon for Shawwal has NOT been sighted locally this evening, Thursday 20th April 2023 and therefore we will be completing the full 30 fasts of Ramadan and Eid will be celebrated on Saturday 22nd April 2023 In'Sha'Allah

Ramadan 2023

It is expected that the first fast for Ramadan 1444 is to be on Thursday 23rd March 2023. This will be confirmed upon sighting of the moon InshaAllah.
We are pleased to share that we will once again be offering full Taraweeh prayers and sisters will also be able to join in (please use the back entrance). The first Tarveeh is expected to be on the night of Wednesday 22nd March 2023.
There will only be 1 Jamaat starting at 20:30 and we will aim to complete the recitation of the Quran. Please refer to the timetable for updated timings throughout the month.

Ramadan 2022

It is expected that the First Fast for Ramadan 1443 is to be on Sunday 3rd April 2022. This will be confirmed upon sighting of the moon InshaAllah.
We are pleased to share that we will once again be offering full Traveeh prayers Alhamdullilah. The first Tarveeh is expected to be on the night of Saturday 2nd April 2022.
There will only be 1 Jamaat starting at 21:45 and we will aim to complete the recitation of the Quran.

Eid-Ul-Adha 2021

We are pleased to inform you Eid Ul Adha will be celebrated on Wednesday 21st July 2021
The jamaat times for Eid Ul Adha namaz will be as follows:
-
1st jamaat - 08:00am
-
2nd jamaat - 09:30am
-
3rd jamaat- 10:30am
As the government is likely to lift social distancing guidelines, no bookings are required and there are no age restrictions in place. Alhamdulliah as no social distancing will be required, we will In Sha Allah be praying standing shoulder to shoulder. However, we do advise everyone to continue taking precaution and to wear a face mask and bring a prayer mat to the masjid.

Please be aware that you MUST book in for Eid Namaz.
Please continue to follow COVID19 guidelines whilst entering, leaving and praying in the Masjid.
Please bring with you a pray mat, a face mask and a bag for your shoes.

The new moon for Ramadan 1442 / 2021 has not been reliably sighted so Shaban will complete 30 days. The First Fast for Ramadan 1442 is confirmed to be on Wednesday 14th April 2021.
We are pleased to share that we will be offering full Traveeh prayers Alhamdullilah. The first Tarveeh will be on the night of Tuesday 13th April 2021.
There will only be 1 jamaat starting at 10.15pm and we will aim to complete the recitation of the Quran.

Masjid Reopeining 2.0

We are pleased to share that Ghausia Masjid will reopen on Wednesday 02 December 2020 Inshallah.
​
As before, this will be subject to strict measures. You will be required to bring your own prayer mat, a bag to put your shoes in and to wear a face mask whilst in the Masjid. If you do not have a mask/gloves/bag, these can be provided by the Masjid for a donation. Volunteers will be at hand at all the daily prayers to ensure everyone follows the guidelines.
If you are not feeling well or have any covid like symptoms, please isolate at home and refrain from attending the masjid.
​
May Allah SWT give us the opportunity to fill the Masjid again. Namaz in congregation is 27 times more rewarding than a namaz performed on its own.
Eid-Ul-Adha 2020

This year, Eid Ul Adha has been confirmed for 31st July 2020 In Sha Allah
As per the latest government guidelines, we are hoping to be able to perform Eid Namaz at the Masjid In Sha Allah.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the Eid Namaz will operate in the same manner as the Jumma prayer by pre registration only.

Masjid Reopeining

We are pleased to share that Ghausia Masjid will reopen on Saturday 4th July 2020 Inshallah.
​
This will be subject to strict measures. You will be required to bring your own prayer mat, a bag to put your shoes in and to wear a face mask and gloves whilst in the Masjid. If you do not have a mask/gloves/bag, these can be provided by the Masjid for a donation. Volunteers will be at hand at all the daily prayers to ensure everyone follows the guidelines.
We make a polite request to the old and young, this is anyone under 16 and over 65 and people with illnesses etc including hayfever to refrain from attending the Masjid, this is to protect yourself and the community.
Eid-Ul-Fitr 2020

The moon of Shawwal has been sighted, therefore Eid ul-Fitr will be ‪on‬ ‪Sunday 24th May 2020 InshaAllah.
Due to the current pandemic, unfortunately there will be NO EID NAMAZ in the Masjid. We have discussed multiple options with the local authorities but none of these can guarantee the safety of our congregants, whilst also meeting the requirements of social distancing.


Ramadan 2020

In relation to the sighting of the new moon for the commencement of Ramadan 1441 / 2020, we can confirm that the moon has NOT been seen.
Therefore, the first fast for Ramadan will be on Saturday 25 April 2020 and the first Travhee will be on the night of Friday 24 April InshaAllah.

The masjid will remain closed in accordance with government guidelines due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus restrictions.
​
Please do Dua for your families, friends, the ummah and the world that this difficult period passes soon. Let's use this crisis as an opportunity to bring ourselves closer to Allah and maximise this time to pray and strengthen our imaan.
